Design Fenders Mould

Product is the fenders behind the four wheels of car, the shape as shown in the picture, four parts, mould for each parts includes both of left and right items, totally there are 4 sets of mould with 8 parts, the general structures are similar.

On this product, customer’s original intention was as shown in the right corner, the pink surface was for cavity, the blue surface was for core, the outside of product can’t have other split line, the inside of product should be made big slider according to three direction as shown in the left corner.



Existing two problems, one is that the product can’t be ejected , because the blue surface in the right picture is the appearance surface that can’t be put in ejector pin, so the ejection is a big problem. The other is that the inside slider need to be made110, the trip is too long, need to pull the slider with oil cylinder.

  • Solution: reverse the cavity and the core, the parting line same as the customer’s parting line, use big lifter to replace of slider ,for now it is lifter, no need ejector pin. use handle Robots catch the sample after ejected, so the lifter stroke only need 20. with this solution solve the two problems .


When using above method, there was another problem: the inside of product has many ribs, they will stick lifter when product ejected...


  • Solution:add another ejector plate as above picture, when ejection, let core insert ejected 20mm together with lifter, at this time the ribs have been loose and the core insert stopped ejection, the lifter continue ejection, when ejection finished, the handle robots can get the products. When trial, we get the product by hand.
